Jersey Reds Women opened up their 2019 campaign with an impressive 51-0 home victory against Basingstoke Ladies on Saturday.
The Reds ran in 9 tries in the rout. Star centre's Taye Boakye-Yiadom (5) and Rosie Corbett (3) taking the plaudits. Second Row forward Kim Vallance added a try and 3 goals to complete the scoring.
As well as the half-century of points scored, coaches Eastwell and Joyce will be delighted with their second straight clean-sheet in defence as Basingstoke were kept at bay despite threatening the Reds line on numerous occasions.
The women will now be hoping to take their impressive run on the road now, as they visit Southampton next Saturday (12th), in what will be a keenly contested fixture following a close home game earlier in the year.
