The opening weekend for Jersey's competitive
rugby season is fast approaching, and the weekend of September
14/15th will not just be
limited to the 1st XV kicking off their Greene King IPA
Championship season at Sandy Park as the Athletic also swing into
action at St. Peter.
The new look Jersey Athletic will run out for the
first time in this season's Shield Competition on the Saturday
against Richmond, whilst Ben Harvey's troops will be live on Sky
Sports that Sunday in the opening double header of the 2013/14
league campaign. And JRFC are excited to announce that you have the
opportunity to support both teams and have a meal with us from the
comfort of the St. Peter Clubhouse.
On the Saturday JRFC will be serving a pre-lunch
drink at 12.15, with a two course meal to follow from 13:00 as the
Athletic prepare for a season in the national leagues. Tables
upstairs in the clubhouse are still available and seat 10 people.
Individuals are welcome to attend as well as groups and the meal
will cost £15 per person. Supporters are also welcome to come along
and watch the game from the clubhouse free of charge.
The following day, Sunday 15th September, Jersey's 1st
team will be kicking off their Greene King IPA Championship
campaign at Exeter against Plymouth Albion. Kick-off for the match
will be 13:15, but dining opens at 12 noon as the Club are offering
supporters a special start-of-season roast carvery. Your sumptuous
meal will be followed by the chef's chosen desert for only £12.95
We hope supporters, members and all proud Jersey
men alike will stick around and watch the match live on Sky Sports
as Jersey go under the cameras for the first time ever. Hospitality
tables can seat 10 people and are selling fast for this special
occasion. Both individuals and groups are welcome to book.
