Home side led 17-5 at the break (tries by Johnson and Rhodes + 7 points from Penberthy, Sayer crossing for the visitors to give them an early lead.
Armstrong's early score down the wing for Gsy kept it interesting, but when Apakuki Ma'afu powered through on 54 minutes it looked good (24-12).
Both sides scored during a long period of added time, George Johnston for the Reds and Elia Morisio for the Green-and-Whites with the last play, so it finished 29-19.
Earlier the hosts had also claimed the Nash and Fallaize trophies, with wins for Jersey Wanderers (24-15) and Jersey 2nds (20-17), but Guernsey kept hold of the Ladies Siam, scoring two late tries to emerge victorious by 5-22.
What a day in the sun! Full reports to follow.
