Jersey were the first to score a try through captain for the day, Joe Buckle, but ultimately went in at half time trailing by 8-7.
In a game that neither side ever really took control, it was the Reds who prevailed with two more second half scores. The first was by Gary Graham from a driving maul, and the second in the final minutes of the game by Kuki Ma'afu who pounced on a loose ball from a Scottish 22 drop out to gather and race through to score and deny the hosts a losing bonus point.
