Jersey hunting for pre-season win this Saturday

28/08/2013

Jersey will be playing their second and
final pre-season friendly fixture this coming Saturday (August
31st) against former Championship side and National One rivals
Coventry RFC at St. Peter (KO 4pm).

The Islanders will
be looking for a confidence boosting win ahead of the start of the
Greene King IPA Championship in two weeks time at Exeter's Sandy
Park.

Former Jersey full-back Barry Davies is
expected to make a quick return to the Island to play for the
opposition after he moved to Coventry this summer as the Butts Park
Arena outfit target promotion this coming season with a strong and
sizeable squad.

Tickets for the match are available from
the Club Shop, The JEP offices at Five Oaks and from Red Properties
on the Esplanade. Tickets will cost £5 for all adults, with under
17s again admitted free of charge, but proof of age may be
required.

Supporters can also take advantage of
another special offer as the Club lay out a two course hot buffet
meal for just £10 per head. The lunch starts at 2pm, and supporters
will also be able to pick up a 'Start of Season' complimentary
brochure containing Q&As with Director of Rugby, Ben Harvey and
new Academy Chairman, Roger Nightingale.

The supporters' meal will only be available
with prior booking and it is hoped members and supporters alike
will take this chance to be hosted in the Clubhouse prior to the
match for what is another crucial encounter against a side looking
to mount a promotion charge to the Greene King IPA
Championship.

To book your place at our Clubhouse lunch
call Sean Dunne on 01534 499929 or drop him an email at sean.dunne@jrfc.je. Deadline for
bookings is close of play Thursday so call today to reserve your
spot.
