Jersey RFC will be offering free admission to spectators aged under 17 throughout the coming season.
The move is designed to attract even an even higher number of young supporters, including members of the Club's thriving Academy section, to watch Jersey's games in the Greene King IPA Championship as well as the British & Irish Cup.
Chairman Bill Dempsey said: "The club and our sponsors are always looking to the future and we believe that next generation of both players and supporters should be encouraged to come and cheer on the local side as they compete in the second tier of English professional rugby."
Free admission was formerly restricted to the under 13s, with spectators aged 13-16 inclusive paying £3. Proof of age will be required. Full-time students aged 17 or over can buy tickets for £5 on production of appropriate student ID.
Tickets for Jersey's 2013/14 campaign will have a new design. The logos of main sponsors ORA and Jersey.com, as well as league sponsor Greene King IPA, will be displayed on the top line of each ticket. Further sponsors will feature on the bottom line on the ticket; Dunnell's Premier Wines, Rathbones, La Motte Ford and new clothing line Ashworth & Bird.
The support of sponsors is helping to aid Jersey RFC's new community plan, which aims to encourage kids to support their local team and get involved with playing rugby.
Tickets for all JRFC 1st team games will be available a fortnight before each match, and can be bought from the Club Shop at St. Peter (10am- 1pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays). Tickets are also available from The Jersey Evening Post offices at Five Oaks (8.30am- 5pm Monday- Friday) and Red Properties on the Esplanade, St Helier (Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm).
