Jersey set for Ulster clash17/10/2013
Jersey DoR Ben Harvey has continued to rotate his Island side with seven changes to his starting line-up for the away trip to Ulster Ravens in the British & Irish Cup (Kick Off 19:30 tomorrow).
Harvey's troops will be looking to continue their great form in league and cup following victory over Ayr last time out at St. Peter as the Islanders target progression from the Pool stages of this year's cup competition.
Jersey born Jack Burroughs and Ed Dawson keep their positions at full-back and wing respectively with former Ulster man Mark McCrea making up an exciting back three division on his return to Ravenhill.
Also returning to his old stomping ground having only left this summer is Niall O'Connor who regains the starting outside-half berth for the clash with his home Province. He is partnered at half-back by Joel Dudley who impressed heavily from the replacements bench last time out.
In the forwards there are a couple of notable changes with Island born hooker Luke Stratford set for his start in full Jersey colours alongside Dave Young and Tom Fidler. Alex Rae returns to the boilerhouse to captain the side and Ben Maidment gets the nod at the back of the scrum.
Harvey has selected another strong replacements bench with Nick Selway keeping his place in the squad following his strong performance against Ayr. Nicky Griffiths, Dai Bishop and last week's try scorer James Copsey complete the substitutes and will look to add strength in the later stages of the clash with European heavyweights Ulster.
