In a 'game of two halves' played in atrocious, wet and blustery conditions, it was Leinster who made by far the best use of the wind advantage in the first half to open up a 20 point lead.
Two tries by scrum-half McGrath were perhaps the most telling points of the half, but there were also some well judged penalties from distance and successful conversions that helped to cement a solid advantage at the break.

The 2nd period was very different with only one penalty goal a piece, and despite good possession and territory, Jersey were unable to open up the stubborn Leinster defence to get the crucial early score that they needed.
