2017 Easter Weekend of Rugby18/02/2017
An invitation to visiting rugby Minis and Juniors teams for an Easter weekend of rugby on the 15th and 16th April, 2017.
The Jersey Reds Minis and Juniors are based at the Jersey Rugby Football Club at St Peter within walking distance of Jersey airport, there is a magnificent clubhouse, separate pavilion and five pitches. Minis and Juniors rugby is extremely popular on the Island, there are over 630 players spread over 13 squads, from U7s to the Colts; the JRFCA is affiliated to Hampshire RFU and has teams playing in the Sussex and Hampshire Leagues. Please check out the website www.jerseyreds.je/minisjuniors to get a flavour of our rugby club.
Jersey is the southernmost British Isle, three and a half hours by fast ferry from Poole, served by convenient air links from all over Britain and Ireland and just over an hour on the ferry from France. The Island is a popular holiday destination with much to offer, to see what is available please have a glance at the Visit Jersey website www.jersey.com. However, for our Easter Weekend of Rugby, we are looking to provide specific information on accommodation that is suitable for groups of young players and their officials, see the useful links on the next page.
Bring your Minis and Juniors and come and play rugby with us just for a few days, take some time out to explore our Island home or simply relax and enjoy yourselves. There are a number of teams from the UK participating as well as the local Channel Island sides, in addition we are being joined by teams from France to add an international flavour to the proceedings.
